coop day again

 

We went to another coop day this week.  We don't have the pictures for it, but the boys played tennis for the first time during P.E.   I heard that even though they have never played tennis before, both Benjamin and Daniel were doing excellent.  Ever since then, they kept asking us to take them to play tennis again.  Both Ben and I never thought about the boys playing tennis before, but that's a good option, too.  

For our weather class, Ben and I did a lesson on Hurricanes and Tornadoes.  We talked about them and the differences in these two storms.  We made hurricane clouds, using cotton balls again.  This picture shows when Ben was helping children make a " tornado in a bottle."  It's so easy to make.  We just need a water bottle (flat on the side is the best), water, dish soap, and some glitters.  The children really liked this bottle.

今週もまたホームスクールのグループに行きました。写真こそないのですが、体育の授業では、テニスをやりました。ベンジャミンもダニエルもテニスをやったことはなかったのですが、聞くところによると、二人ともすごく上手にボールを打ち返していたみたいです。二人ともとても楽しかったらしく、あれいらいテニスがやりたいーとよくいいます。サッカーや野球とかは考えていたけれど、テニスかあ。それもいいかもー。テニスの王子様たち。。。

そして天気の授業では、ベンと私はハリケーン(台風)とトルネードについてお話しました。どういうものか、またこの二つはどう違うのか比べたりしました。　そして、また前回のようにコットンを引き伸ばしてハリケーン雲をつくりました。この写真は、ベンがペットボトルのなかにトルネードをつくるのを皆に見せているところです。結構簡単にできました。ボトル(側面が平たいほうがマル）、洗剤少々、あとは細かいスパークルをいれて混ぜるだけです。子供たち、これが結構きにいっていました。

  

And these are our boys' hurricanes. Since hurricanes have names, there are Hurricane Benjamin,  Hurricane Daniel, and Hurricane Samuel.  Benjamin refused to use cotton balls, so he just drew using markers.

そしてこれが家の子供たちのハリケーンです。ハリケーンは名前がついてるから、ハリケーンベンジャミン、ハリケーンダニエル、ハリケーンサミュエルですね。ベンジャミンはコットンを使うのを嫌がって、そのままペンでぐるぐると描いていました。
