flying kites ( たこあげ)

Today, we went to a park to fly kites. It was gorgeous weather today, so it's great to go outside. We grabbed big sandwiches for lunch. It was such a nice day for a picnic, but not for flying kites. There's not good wind! We have to try again. Ben tried to fly kites by just running very fast but he didn't last very long. Kids had a lot of fun running around at the park. Benjamin helped a lot with flying kites. Daniel spent a good amount of time getting the strings together. Samuel kept getting tangled in the strings. Caleb was very patient with me while I tried to take pictures. He was excited to be outside, though. We've better go outside more and enjoy this weather before the HOT summer arrives!

今日は久しぶりに寒くなくていいお天気だったので、公園に行って凧をあげにいきました。ランチはどでかいサンドイッチ！３０センチはぜったいあるなー。皆で分けて食べました。それにしても、天気が良くていいピクニック日和ではあるけれど、たこあげには向いてませんでした。風が
かなりおとなしかったです。またいい風がでているときにこなくては！ベンは風がなくても、一生懸命走ってたこをあげようと試みましたが、あまりつづきませんでした。子供たちは広い公園で存分に走れたので満足そうでした。ベンジャミンはたこあげるために、よく手伝っていました。ダニエルは、ほどけた凧紐を一生懸命巻き戻していました。サミュエルは、よく凧紐に足が絡まっていました。ケイラブは、私が写真を取っている間は窮屈だったかもしれないけど、我慢していてくれました。でも外に出れてうれしそうでした。それにしても、暑くてむしむしのこわーい夏が来る前に、この良い天気日和を存分に満喫せねば！
